Indian Rupee up 9 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: Rupee on Wednesday gained nine paise to close at 74.37 against the USD on the selling of US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
A minor oscillation was seen during the day, as the domestic unit eased marginally by two paise at 74.48 in early trade.
Later, it erased earlier losses and finished positive at 74.37, up by nine paise as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee was seen improved due to the weak dollar against other world currencies despite negative equity market, dealer said.
The local unit registered days high and low at 74.50 and 74.35 respectively.
