India's wholesale inflation rate stands at 5.77 per cent

New Delhi, July 16 (IBNS): India's wholesale inflation rate stood at  5.77 per cent, as per the latest government data released on Monday.

The rate stood at 4.43 per cent in the previous mont.

"The annual rate of inflation, based on monthly WPI, stood at 5.77% (provisional) for the month of June, 2018 (over June, 2017) as compared to 4.43% (provisional) for the previous month and 0.90% during the corresponding month of the previous year," read a government statement.

"Build up inflation rate in the financial year so far was 2.49% compared to a build up rate of -0.44% in the corresponding period of the previous year," it said.
