Chandigarh, Jan 18 (IBNS): In an attempt to encourage cashless transaction in Chandigarh, the UT administration recently organized a 'Digi Dhan Mela' here.

At the event, Infosys Chandigarh was recognized as a ‘Cashless Campus’ by Chandigarh Administration.

"The award is a testimony to the cashless infrastructure enabled at the Infosys Chandigarh campus which facilitates cashless transactions at food courts, shopping centers and the guesthouses located at the campus," an official statement claimed.

Through this award, the Chandigarh Administration intends to spread awareness about the benefits and mediums of going cashless.

Infosys Chandigarh also created an app named ‘Cashless Dangal’ for the Chandigarh Administration.

The app had all the required information about the schedule of the wrestling matches held on January 10 2017  including statistics related to the wrestlers.
