Infosys Mysuru campus again fires trainees

| @indiablooms | Mar 27, 2025, at 08:50 pm

Mysuru: Infosys has terminated 40-45 trainees via email, just over a month after dismissing hundreds from its Mysuru campus, media reports said.

Layoff details

The company cited repeated failures in the final internal assessment as the reason for termination.

Infosys stated that trainees had been given extra preparation time, doubt-clearing sessions, and multiple mock assessments before their dismissal.

Alternative support

Affected trainees are being offered counselling services and professional outplacement assistance.

Infosys is also providing a 12-week company-sponsored training programme for roles in Business Process Management (BPM) as an alternative career path.

Previous layoffs

Last month, Infosys asked around 350 trainees to resign after failing the internal assessment three times.

The IT employees’ association, Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES), criticised the move, calling it illegal, unethical, and a violation of labour laws.
