Jet Airways expands range of 'fare choices' for domestic travel
Mumbai, Dec 3 (IBNS): Jet Airways, India's premier international airline, on Monday announced further enhancements to its Fare Choices framework, which was initially unveiled in 2016.
The rapid expansion of the Fare Choices framework reflects the fast-evolving nature of Indian aviation, where an increasing number of guests want the freedom and flexibility to make their own travel choices.
‘Fare Choices’, Jet Airways' tier-based, fare-choice system, empowers guests by offering them such enhanced flexibility and choice. It enables them to customize their travel experience with the airline by choosing their preferred fare and a specially tailored associated service experience that features benefits they most value as per their travel needs.
In addition to the ‘Light’ and ‘Deal’ categories introduced earlier, Jet Airways will offer two more categories under Economy travel – Saver and Classic. This expanded bouquet of fares will allow guests to select from a range of features and services at competitive price points, designed specially to suit their travel requirements.
With effect from 7th January 2019, the airline will remodel and refresh its current set of in-flight offerings with an exciting range of ready-to-eat menu options comprising both food and beverage selections. These have been developed to offer guests greater choice and variety, suitably tempered to the palette of the fast-evolving traveler.
Guests can choose from a wide selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals and snacks on select flights. The availability of meals will continue to be governed by factors such as time and duration of the flight.
Effective 21st December 2018, guests travelling in Economy and booking 'Light'/'Deal/Saver/Classic' fares for travel from 07th January 2019 on flights within India will have the opportunity to buy meals from our specially curated on-board menu, ‘JetBistro’, payable by their debit/credit card. The airline will continue to offer complimentary meals across 'Saver'/'Classic' Fare Choices for guests who have made bookings prior to 21st December, 2018.
On flights within India, all features and benefits, including complimentary meals, will continue for the Economy fare option 'Flex’ and for all fare options in Première. All features and benefits under First Class, Première and Economy offerings remain unchanged on international flights.
Commenting on the development, Raj Sivakumar, Senior Vice-President – Worldwide Sales & Distribution, Jet Airways, said, “Our expanded range of fare and meal choices are in sync with emerging consumer feedback which clearly reflects that an increasing number of guests want the flexibility of enjoying competitive fares with the option to buy meals that are best suited to their taste.”
JetPrivilege members travelling across all Fare Choices continue to enjoy the ability to earn JPMiles on all their flight activities as well as redeem their JPMiles for award flights across our extensive domestic and extended international network, covering over 1000 destinations worldwide along with its partners.
The airline also offers its state-of-the-art, free, wireless streaming in-flight entertainment on its Boeing 737 fleet across its entire domestic network and all guests will continue to enjoy its unmatched on-ground and in-flight Indian hospitality.
Belson Coutinho, Sr. Vice President – Marketing, eCommerce & Innovations, Jet Airways said, "Our latest initiative offers greater flexibility and facilitates increasing choice and convenience for our guests. We're confident that this initiative will draw huge appreciation from our guests, who have been seeking a varied and exciting on-board dining experience.”
