KBSK partners with PWCIS to work in the field of renewal energy
As per the MoU, KBSK would work with the Society for work of installation of solar products under various schemes i.e. MPLAD, MLA LAD and other local bodies funds and sale of LED bulbs at subsidized prices to all households across all districts of West Bengal.
Parbir Kumar Das, Chairperson, KBSK said that apart from joining hands with the Punjab Workshop Co-Operative Society, KBSK has also collaborated with the All India Youth Welfare Society of New Delhi for conducing survey of all households at village panchyats level in all districts of West Bengal under the scheme of Ministry of Statistic and Programme Implementation.
The purpose of conducting extensive survey is to collect actual data base of households and after which government can make plans for their development program. KBSK will engage around 4300 plus members for the survey and expect the same to be completed in the next two months.
S. Datt, Advisor of the KBSK said that the society is also partnering with Rural Housing Division in the Ministry of Rural Development to get financial support for training under IAY scheme to give mason skill training to the BPL families in West Bengal. He also said that the society will focus on poverty alleviation, income and job generation and empowerment of women in rural areas and hinterlands of West Bengal through its solar energy initiatives.
Das elaborating further on the role of KBSK, said that the sole ambition of the organisation is to implement the 20-point developmental programmes into a reality in West Bengal. He added the the during all these years, KBSK prime concern had been to provide responsive, corruption free and transparent administration to the people.
He expects that the society will scale new heights in every sphere of development with good team work.
