Key Indian benchmark indices close lower on Thursday

Mumbai, May 3 (IBNS): The Indian market closed in negative territory on Thursday with BSE Sensex down 73.28 points at 35,103.14 and NSE Nifty down 38.30 points at 10,679.70.

Global weakness pulled down the market, reports said.

Sun Pharma, Bharti Infratel, NTPC, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank were some of the stocks that gained on Thursday while HCL Tech, Wipro, Idea Cellular, UPL, Asian Paints, Eicher Motors, L&T, HUL and Kotak Mahindra were some of the stocks that declined.
