Gurugram: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, the country’s largest carmaker, on Friday reported a 7% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹3,293 crore for the September quarter (Q2FY26), up from ₹3,069 crore in the same period last year.

The company’s revenue from operations grew 13% to ₹42,101 crore, compared with ₹37,203 crore in the year-ago quarter, while total income rose to ₹43,014 crore from ₹38,678 crore, according to a Moneycontrol report.

Operating performance remained steady, with EBITDA rising marginally by 0.4% to ₹4,434 crore, though the margin slipped to 10.53% from 11.87% a year earlier.

“Domestic wholesales declined 5.1% y-o-y to 4,40,387 units in the quarter due to customers deferring buying because of expectation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) led price reduction from 22nd September,” Maruti Suzuki said in a regulatory filing.

Exports, however, provided a strong cushion, surging 42.2% year-on-year to a record 1,10,487 units, the company said, adding that overall sales volumes rose 1.7% to 5,50,874 units during the quarter.

During the period, the automaker also launched its new mid-size SUV, Victoris, expanding its presence in the fast-growing utility vehicle segment.

On the NSE, shares of Maruti Suzuki were trading slightly lower at ₹16,165, down 0.25% in afternoon trade.
