MTS announces leadership appointments in Karnataka, UP West circles
While Umesh Durve has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Karnataka Circle, Siraj Abbasi will take charge of the company’s business in UP West circle.
The two new appointments will further strengthen the circle leadership team at MTS India. Both Siraj Abbasi and Umesh Durve will report directly to Dmitry Shukov, CEO, MTS India, the company said in a statement.
According to Dmitry Shukov, Chief Executive Officer, MTS India, “It gives me immense pleasure to welcome Umesh Durve and Siraj Abbasi to the MTS family. Both, Umesh and Siraj have over two decades of industry experience and have been associated with leading telecom companies in the past. They have a proven leadership track record and I look forward working with them. I am confident that our circle teams in Karnataka and UP West circles would immensely benefit from their leadership skills and vast knowledge of the industry.”
Umesh Durve has over 23 years of industry experience with expertise in Sales and Distribution, product marketing and market plan execution. He has diversified experience in FMCG, Automobile and Telecom industry. Prior to joining MTS India, Umesh was associated with Bharti Airtel Ltd as Vice President of Market Operations.
Siraj Abbasi has over 20 years of experience in Sales, Distribution Management, Business Development, Channel Management, Key Account Management and Team Management in Telecom and FMCG industries. Siraj is known for developing strong business relationships with customers and has experience in managing large accounts and territories.
Siraj’s last assignment was with Reliance Communications, Lucknow as Circle Business Head, UP - East where he was driving the data revenues for his region and was responsible for setting up exclusive distributor network for EVDO devices.
