Ola to donate 10,000 oxygen concentrators across India

Bengaluru/UNI: Mobility platform Ola through a collaboration of its foundation with donation platform GiveIndia will supply 10,000 oxygen concentrators across the country.

According to sources, Ola said consumers will be able to log onto the Ola app and request an oxygen concentrator by providing a few basic details, post which the request will be validated by Ola.

Next the concentrator is picked up in one of its cabs with a specially trained driver, so that the device is brought to the patient’s doorstep.

Once the patient recovers and no longer requires the concentrator, Ola will pick up the device and return it to GiveIndia to get it ready for the next patient.

“This entire experience will be seamless and the oxygen concentrator as well as the doorstep delivery and pickup will be completely free for consumers,” Ola said.

“We hope this initiative brings much-needed support during these very difficult times and helps in mitigating the pain and the anxiety among those impacted,” said Ola Chairman and Group Executive Officer Bhavish Aggarwal.
