Prices of LPG cylinders hiked

New Delhi/UNI: The prices of domestic cooking gas cylinders were hiked by Rs 50 across the country from Wednesday.

According to price notification of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), now a non-subsidised 14.2 kg cylinder will cost Rs 1,053 in Delhi, Rs 1,079 in Kolkata, Rs 1,052 in Mumbai and Rs 1,068 in Chennai.

Earlier prices were increased on May 19, May 7 and March 22.

The prices of 5kg cylinders and 19 kg commercial cylinders also went up.

While the domestic 5kg cylinders will cost Rs 18 more, the consumers of 19kg commercial cylinders will have to pay Rs 8.50 per cylinder more, a notification of the state-owned oil marketing companies said.

Now a 19 kg cylinder will cost Rs 2,012.50 in Delhi, Rs 2,132 in Kolkata, Rs 1,972.50 in Mumbai and Rs 2,177 in Chennai. This is the second revision of prices of 19kg cylinders this month.

Prices of diesel and petrol, however, remained unchanged.
