Kolkata, May 26 (IBNS): Rays Power Infra Pvt. Ltd., one of the biggest Solar EPC companies in India, on Tuesday, announced its successful commissioning of 31.5 MW utility scale Photovoltaic solar power project, before its scheduled date.

The largest solar project in Punjab was developed in two phases of 21 MW at Lakhmirwala and 10.5 MW at Barre, in Mansa district.

The Photo voltaic (PV) project will generate a total of five crore units of electricity annually and supply clean energy to power more than 10,000 homes.

The project is being undertaken for Mumbai based Pan India Infra Projects (P) Ltd. With this project, the company’s commissioned project portfolio reaches 99 MW in the solar sector alone.

“We have undertaken the designing, engineering, procurement, erection and commissioning of the entire project in a span of less than 100 days. The project intends to set a new benchmark by contributing towards the reduction of 50,000 tonnes of carbon emissions, every year”, said Pawan Sharma, Director, Rays Power Infra.
“With a strong order book of more than 150 MW for this financial year, we are aiming to grow at a rate of 400% this year and thereby contributing significantly to the ambitious target of 100 GW set by our Honourable Prime Minister. These are exciting times for the sector and we hope to make India a power surplus country by 2022,” said Ketan Mehta, Director, Rays Power Infra.
