Rupee ends positive at 71.19 against USD

Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Wednesday closed tad higher by one paisa to 71.19, snapping the negative trend of last four session against the US Dollar on selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, the dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit that rose by five paise to 71.15 in opening trade finally closed positive only at 71.19, rising nominaly by one paisa as compared to its last close.

The domestic unit recorded day high and low at 71.24 and 71.13, respectively.

The Rupee improved on weak Dollar against other world currencies despite negative equity market, they added.
