Rupee falls by 4 paise against USD

Mumbai, Feb 15 (UNI/IBNS) The Rupee on Friday slipped by four paise to 71.20 on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at Forex Market said.

A minor fluctuation was seen during the day, as it opened weak by 7 paise to 71.23 against the greenback.

Finally, it closed negative at 71.20, easing by 4 paise as compared to its last close. 

The Indian currency registered day high and low at 71.43 and 71.18 respectively.

 
Strong dollar against some other currencies overseas and negative equity market kept the local unit down, they added.
