Rupee up 6 paise against USD

Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Tuesday gained 6 paise to close at 74.65 against the greenback on selling of US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The domestic unit that advanced by 17 paise to 74.54 in opening trade, later it erased earlier gains but managed to finish positive only at 74.65, advancing six paise only

as compared to its previous close.

The local unit registered days high and low at 74.70 and 74.51 respectively.

The Rupee edged up because of the weak dollar against other world currencies amid a robust equity market, dealers added.
