Rupee up by 12 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Friday rallied by 12 paise to 72.78 against the US Dollar on the selling of US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
In opening trade, the local unit surged by 25 paise to 72.65 against the USD and finally closed at 72.78, advancing by 12 paise as compared to its last close.
The Rupee registered days high and low at 72.82 and 72.61 respectively.
The domestic unit spurted owing to a weak dollar against other world currencies amid weak equity market, they added.
