Sensex moves down by 778.30 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday dropped 778.30 points to close at 55,468.90 on weak global cues.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too slipped 187.95 points at 16,605.95.

The Sensex registered days high and low at 55,755.09 and 55,020.10 respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 16,678.50 and 16,478.65 respectively.
