Sensex moves up 226.79 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Friday rallied by 226.79 points to end firm at 41,613.19, on brisk buying in Materials, FMCG, Realty, Capital Goods and Consumer Durable stocks amid positive European cues.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 67.90 points at 12,248.25.

The Sensex registered day's high and low at 41,697.03 and 41,275.60 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded day's high and low at 12,272.15 and 12,149.65 points respectively.
