Sensex tumbles by 42 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday declined by 42:05 points to 66,237.41 as selling was seen in FMCG, finance, and health care stocks.

However, the NSE marginally rose by 3.30 points to 19,754.35.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.31 pc and the Small Cap by 0.42 pc.

In 30 scrips, 16 advanced while 14 declined.

The losers were Nestle India Ltd by 1.60 pc to be 23,165.35, Indusind Bank by 1.07 pc to be Rs 1447.90, Asian Paints by 0.89 pc to be 3120.65, and HDFC Bank by 0.69 pc to be Rs 1526.20.

The gainers were HCL Technologies by 1.57 pc to Rs 1275, Titan by 1.15 pc to Rs 3321.90, Ultracemco by 0.93 pc to Rs 8442.80, and Tata Steel by 0.84 pc to Rs 126.05.
