Stock market opens red

Mumbai/UNI: Stock market opened in red on Monday with BSE Sensex at 58,634.69 and Nifty at 17,443.85.

Snapping their three-day winning streak, market benchmarks the Sensex and the Nifty had ended in red territory on Friday.

At the close, the Sensex was at 59,015.89, lower 125 points or 0.21 per cent while the Nifty 17,585.15, lower 44 points or 0.25 per cent.
