Tata Steel conferred the Prime Minister’s trophy for Best Performing Integrated Steel Plant in India for 2013-14
In recognition of its excellent performance, the trophies were received by T V Narendran, Tata Steel MD, India and South East Asia and R Rabi Prasad, President, Tata Worker’s Union from Minister of Steel, Chaudhary Birender Singh.
Since the inception of the PM’s Trophy Award in 1992-93, this is Tata Steel’s tenth recognition as the best integrated steel plant in the country.
The PM’s trophy recognizes integrated steel companies that have an outstanding performance in the vital sector of the national economy, which draws heavily on national resources of capital and skilled manpower.
Expressing his gratitude, while receiving the award, T V Narendran, MD, Tata Steel India & SEA said, “We are honored to have received this award from the Govt. of India once again! Tata Steel has always focused on operational excellence and delivering value to all its stakeholders. It is a privilege to have our efforts recognized. The award is also recognition of the dedication and unstinted support of our employees whom I owe my sincere thanks.
