Tata Steel removes Cyrus Mistry as Chairman

New Delhi, Nov 25 (IBNS): Tata Steel's Board of Directors have decided to remove Cyrus P Mistry as the Chairman.

O P Bhatt has ben appointed as the Chairman of the Board.

"In view of the current situation i.e the Special Notice & Requisition received from Tata Sons Limited, the Board of Directors has decided to replace Mr. Cyrus P Mistry as the chairman of the board with immediate effect and have elected Mr. O P Bhatt, an independent director as the Chairman of the Board," read a statement issued by the company.

Tata Sons board had sacked him on Oct 24.

He was replaced with Ratan Tata.
