Tata Steel wins Golden Peacock National Training Award

Kolkata, May 31 (IBNS): Integrated private sector steel company Tata Steel was recently conferred with the 'Golden Peacock National Training Award' for the year 2014, which is one of the most prestigious awards for excellence in training practices in organizations as a whole.

The award was presented by the Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at a ceremony held in Thiruvananthapuram.

On behalf of Tata Steel, the award was received by Suresh Dutt Tripathi, Vice President, Human Resource Management, Tata Steel.

While receiving the award, Tripathi said, "It’s a matter of pride and honour to receive the Golden Peacock National Training Award 2014 as it recognises the most effective and relevant models of training in all areas of products and services that we at Tata Steel have."

Tripathi added, "It reinforces our commitment to pursue excellence in the methodology of training for the tangible benefits of all our employees."

He said, "This award inspires us to continue our legacy in training and development for our valued employees ensuring effective career progression and growth."

The Golden Peacock National Training Award identifies training that makes a real difference and offers benefits to the business/organization or to the community.

It rewards organizations who exercise best possible control on their circumstances, show real initiative and commitment to development.
