Mexico City/Mumbai: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched a new AI-powered operations centre in Mexico City, reinforcing its position as a leading digital transformation partner in Latin America, the company said in a press release on Tuesday.

The office is the company’s eighth facility in Mexico, where it employs more than 11,000 associates over the past 22 years.

The new hub is part of TCS’ growth strategy for the region and is expected to create jobs over the next two years.

It will host AI specialists and engineers skilled in emerging enterprise technologies, offering solutions across artificial intelligence, cloud, cybersecurity, IoT, IT infrastructure, application development and cognitive business operations.

Rajeev Gupta, Head-Nearshore LATAM and Country Head – Mexico, TCS, said, “The launch of our AI-powered office in Mexico City marks a significant milestone in our journey towards delivering cutting-edge solutions for all our customers in the country. Our promise of creating jobs in Mexico is proof of our firm commitment to continue developing the Mexican digital ecosystem.”

Marcelo Wurmann, CEO – Latin America, TCS, highlighted Mexico as a cornerstone of the company’s regional strategy, saying TCS would continue to support clients in tackling complex business challenges.

Mexican Economy Secretary Marcelo Ebrard welcomed the expansion, calling it a vital boost to the digital economy and a sign of strengthening India-Mexico ties.
