Kolkata: The National Parts Warehouse of Volvo Car India in Bhiwandi, near Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai, has completed 5 years in India.

The warehouse began operations on April 16, 2018 and is currently serving with significantly high service rate in 2023.

“The establishment of a local warehouse has greatly increased the availability of parts in India. As a result, Volvo Cars now stocks & handles more than 10,000 lines of parts which can be transported to the Indian dealers in quick time,” the company said in a statement.

This directly assists Volvo Car India in meeting the needs of our end customers for aftersales spare parts in a more efficient manner.

“The warehouse has assisted Volvo in strengthening its commitment to the Indian market by consistently enhancing part availability, warehouse operating standards, quality, and on-time delivery to retailers,” said Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director Volvo Car India.

In addition to significantly shortening the turnaround time of parts availability for our customers over the last five years. The warehouse has also enhanced dealer liquidity, allowing them to focus even more on clients, said Kalpit Shishodia, Director Customer Service.

“Also, I'd like to congratulate our warehouse partner, DSV India, who has emerged as a strong partner in recent years for managing warehouse operations and demonstrating continual progress in operations, resulting in a fantastic experience for retailers and end customers,” he added.

In the electrification journey, Volvo’s warehouse is capable of storage of different kind of batteries and already have a tie-up in place with Attero India for recycling & handling end-of-life batteries.
