Afghanistan registers 263 fresh Covid cases

Kabul/UNI:  A total of 263 new COVID-19 positive cases have been registered in Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, taking the the total number of infections to 46,980 in the country, said a statement of Public Health Ministry released here Wednesday.

According to the statement, 22 people have died due to Covid-19 in nine provinces in the last 24 hours, taking the COVID-19 related deaths to 1,822 since the outbreak of the disease in February.

A total of 119 patients have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the member of recovered one to 37,026, the statement added.

Afghanistan Public Health Ministry also warned the citizens to respect the security measures taken by the ministry and wear mask in public buses and crowded areas.
