Jaipur/UNI: The Rajasthan government is preparing to introduce the third booster dose of Covid-19 to check the spread of coronavirus.

After a review meeting of Covid-19, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said: "We have decided today we will write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allow the third booster dose of Corona vaccine."

"After a year, now the third dose is needed so that the third wave does not come. We will write to the PM to consider and approve the booster dose that has been started in many countries. Many people have been here for a year now, so booster doses should be applied," he said.

In view of the increasing cases of Covid-19, Gehlot held the meeting, where officers were asked to emphasize on following social distancing in their districts.

Instructions have been given to conduct genome sequencing and sero survey as well.
