Biggest jump: India registers 97570 new COVID-19 cases, 1201 deaths

New Delhi: India registered the biggest single-day spike as 97,570 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health released data revealed on Saturday.

In the past 24 hours, 1201 deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported.

The death toll due to the highly infectious disease stands at 77472.

There are 958316 active cases in the country at present.

So far, 3624196 people have been discharged.
