Fight against Coronavirus: India registers 1.73 lakh COVID-19 cases, 3617 deaths
New Delhi: India, a nation struggling to combat COVID-19 in the second wave of the pandemic, registered a decline in daily count as 1.73 lakh new cases were registered in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Saturday.
During the second wave of pandemic, India witnessed helpless scenes of people struggling to get a hospital bed or even oxygen supply. The crematoriums across the nation were overwhelmed.
In the last 24 hours, 3617 new COVID-19 cases were registered, taking the total tally to 322512.
So far, 25178011 people have been discharged from hospital.
There are 2228724 active cases in the country at present.
