Hajj pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir receive special vaccination to ensure safe and hassle-free pilgrimage

In a concerted effort to facilitate a smooth and COVID-free experience for Hajj pilgrims, a dedicated vaccination drive was organized in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

The initiative aims to safeguard the health of the pilgrims before embarking on the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. With the support of the Indian government, the vaccination process is currently underway in all districts of the picturesque Kashmir Valley, reported ANI.

Commencing on June 7, the Hajj pilgrimage will commence from the Srinagar Haj House, located in Bemina Srinagar. To adhere to the guidelines provided by the Haj Committee of India and prioritize the safety of the pilgrims from COVID-19, it has been made mandatory for all pilgrims to receive the vaccination.

This crucial step is being undertaken by the responsible citizens who have duly registered and completed the required documentation.

Both oral and injectable vaccinations have been administered free of cost to the pilgrims at various locations, including the Srinagar Haj House. The Department of Health Services, Kashmir, has played a pivotal role in coordinating and providing these vaccination facilities across all districts of the valley.

An estimated count of over 10,000 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir are set to embark on the annual Hajj pilgrimage. The proactive measures taken by the administration of the Haj House to arrange for vaccination facilities have been widely appreciated by the pilgrims.

These efforts reflect the collective commitment to ensure the health and well-being of the pilgrims, minimizing the risk of infections during their spiritual journey.

As the vaccination process continues to be in full swing, it brings assurance to the pilgrims and their families, creating an atmosphere of confidence and security.

The administration remains steadfast in its dedication to offering the necessary support and guidelines to facilitate a hassle-free and safe Hajj pilgrimage for all participants.
