India records 28,204 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, lowest in 147 days

New Delhi: India reported a slight decline in COVID-19 cases as 28,204 new cases were recorded by the country in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Tuesday.

It is the lowest figure in 147 days.

India's active caseload currently 3,88,508; lowest in 139 days.

India's active cases constitute 1.21 percent of total cases.

Importantly, 41,511 patients recovered during last 24 hours.

The weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5 percent and currently stands at 2.36 percent.
