India records slight decline in casualty figure as 817 deaths due to COVID-19 registered in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India recorded a reduction in casualty figures as 817 deaths due to the deadly COVID-19 virus were recorded in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Wednesday.

However, the country also recorded a significant rise in daily case count in the past 24 hours as 45,951 were registered.

India's Active Caseload further declined to 5,37,064.

Active cases constitute 1.77% of total cases

2,94,27,330 Total Recoveries have been recorded from across the country so far.

In the past 24 hours, 60,729 patients recovered from the disease.

Daily recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 48th consecutive day.

Following the revelation of the latest figures, recovery rate increases to 96.92% .

Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5%, currently at 2.69%.

Daily positivity rate at 2.34%, less than 5% for 23 consecutive days.
