India registers 15,823 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India, the nation that has witnessed a deadly second wave of the pandemic earlier this year, registered 15,823 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Wednesday.

During the same period, 226 people also died due to the virus.

The death toll due to the virus now stands at 451189.

Active cases in the country now stand at 2,07,653.

In the past 24 hours, 22,844 people recovered from the disease.
