India registers 1,997 fresh COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India registered 1,997 fresh COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours as the daily positivity rate touched 0.94 percent, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Friday.

As many as 6 fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 5,28,754.

India's active caseload currently stands at 30,362.

Active cases stand at 0.07 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.75 percent.

3,908 people recovered from the viral infection during this period.
