India registers 48,268 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, 551 deaths

New Delhi: India's COVID-19 tally on Saturday crossed  8.1 million-mark as the nation registered 48,268 cases in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health data released.

In the past 24 hours, 551 people have died due to COVID-19.

The total deaths in the country so far is 121641.

There are 81,37,119 cases in the country at present.

There are 582649 active cases in the country at present.

So far, 7432829 people have been discharged from hospitals after treatment.
