India registers 492 COVID-19 deaths, 43,082 new cases in past 24 hours
New Delhi: India, one of the worst COVID-19-hit nations in the world, recorded 43,082 new cases in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 93,09,788.
In the past 24 hours, 492 deaths were reported due to the highly infectious virus that originated from China.
The death toll due to the disease now stands at 135715.
The number of active cases in the country now stands at 455555.
So far, 8718517 people have been discharged from hospital.
