India registers 8,503 fresh COVID-19 cases amid Omicron scare
New Delhi: India, a nation which is witnessing a spread of Omicron cases, registered 8,503 fresh cases in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Friday.
In the past 24 hours, 624 deaths were also registered due to the virus.
India's active caseload currently stands at 94,943.
Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases and currently stands at 0.27 percent.
It is the lowest figure reached since March 2020.
Recovery Rate currently at 98.36 percent.
7,678 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.
