India witnesses another surge in COVID-19 cases, registers 1,41,986 fresh cases

New Delhi: India continued to witness a jump in daily count as 1,41,986 fresh COVID-19 cases were registered in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Omicron tally of the country touched 3071.

Maharashtra topped the chart with 876 cases.

In the past 24 hours, 285 people died due to the virus.

India's active caseload currently stands at 4,72,169.

Active cases stands at 1.34 percent

Recovery Rate currently at 97.30 percent.

40,895 recoveries were registered in the same period.
