Maharashtra records 1,855 fresh Covid-19 cases, two more deaths

Aurangabad/Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra recorded 1,855 fresh cases of Covid-19 and two virus-related deaths during the past 24 hours, according to a health bulletin on Sunday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,82,551 and the death toll has reached 1,48,193.

Meanwhile,1,720 cured patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 79,22,492.

The state's recovery rate currently stands at 98.02 per cent and the fatality rate at 1.83 per cent.

Presently, 11,866 active patients were undergoing treatment at different hospitals, the bulletin added.
