Maharashtra reports 2,087 new Covid cases and 4 deaths

Aurangabad/Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra reported 2,087 new cases of Covid-19 and 4 related deaths, according to a health bulletin on Sunday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,45,606 and the death toll has gone up to 1,48,101.

Meanwhile, 2,259 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 78,84,495.

The state's recovery rate currently stands at 98 per cent and fatality rate at 1.84 per cent.

Presently, 13,010 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals across the state, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile, Marathwada region reported 145 new Covid cases, including 35 cases in Latur district, followed by 33 cases in Osmanabad district, 30 cases in Nanded district, 29 cases in Jalna district and 18 cases in Aurangabad district, while the remaining three districts did not report any new case, the bulletin further added.
