Maharashtra reports 2,289 new Covid cases, 6 deaths

Aurangabad/Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra reported 2,289 fresh positive of Covid-19 cases and 6 related deaths, according to a health bulletin Friday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,27,395 and the death toll has gone up to 1,48,045.

Meanwhile, 2,400 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 78,64,831.

The state's recovery rate currently stands at 97.97 per cent and fatality rate at 1.84 per cent .

Presently, 14,519 Covid patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals, across the state, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile,Marathwada region reported 168 new Covid cases, including 39 cases in Aurangabad district, followed by Osmanabad district with 36 cases, Latur district had 34 cases, 33 cases were reported from Jalna district,17 cases in Beed district and 9 cases in Nanded district, the bulletin further added.
