Nigerian man tests positive for Monkeypox in Delhi, 2nd case in capital

New Delhi/IBNS: A 35-year-old Nigerian man, living in Delhi and having no recent history of foreign travel, has tested positive for Monkeypox, media reports said on Monday.

With this, the total number of Monkeypox-infected people in the country went up to six.

The Nigerian man is the second person to test positive for the virus in Delhi.

He is admitted to the Delhi government-run LNJP Hospital, the nodal hospital for treatment of the infection.

Earllier, a 22-year-old returnee from UAE is suspected to have died due to Monkeypox at Chavakkad in Thrissur
