Pakistan registers 66 new COVID-19 deaths in past 24 hours

Islamabad: Pakistan, a nation which has witnessed several rounds of COVID-19 pandemic, registered 66 new deaths due to the disease in the past 24 hours, media reports said.

During the past 24 hours, 3,800 new cases have been reported.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre's website, 56,279 coronavirus tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, of which 3,800 returned positive, reports Geo News.

According to the official portal, the rate of positive cases during the last 24 hours was 6.75%, the newspaper reported.

Following the fresh casualty, the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in the country have risen to 25,670.
