People lose eyesight after cataract operation in Himachal camp

Chandigarh, Dec 20 (IBNS) At least ten people have lost their vision after undergoing cataract operation in an eye camp in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district in March this year, said media reports on Saturday.

Media reports said those who were operated were from both Himachal Pradesh and Punjab's Pathankot.

The eye camp was held in Kandwal village of Himachal Pradesh about nine months ago and since then many complained of various problems while ten of them lost their vision. 

A senior government health official of Himachal Pradesh said they are probing the incident and will submit a report soon.
