Reason for death of suspected Monkeypox case will be examined: Veena George

Thiruvananthapuram:  The reason for the death of a 22-year-old returnee from UAE whose death is suspected to be due to Monkeypox at Chavakkad in Thrissur will be examined, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said on Sunday.

The Minister was responding to various media reports that Monkeypox has been suspected in a man who died on Saturday.

The victim's samples were sent for examination at the National Institute of Virology in Alappuzha, she added.
