Aircel brings in new data packs with 1 GB data benifit for all concept
Kolkata, July 27 (IBNS): India's telecom brand, Aircel on Tuesday introduced some new data packs with a concept of '1 GB for All' along with some unlimited plans for the users.
Anil Gupta, Regional Manager of East Aircel said that the innovation targets customers of all age groups and claims that it has been accepted well.
He said:“ We have launched 1 GB internet pack and we are getting a positive response in the market.”
Aircel introduced separated data packs for the high usage customers, medium usage and low usage customers with Pl 49, Pl 99 and FRC 101 respectively. The customers are introduced to a new pack of Special 1GB which provides them 1GB separately for daytime and night time.
Asserting the role of the data usage by the customers behind such data plans by Aircel, Gupta said: “Data is driving the market today and in future it is going to continue to drive the market.”
He even claimed that around 15-20 per cent of the company's revenue comes from the data services as data services are important for the customers nowadays.
“ Data is the driver today. We are able to get decent revenues from data”, added Gupta.
Aircel also brought some unlimited plans for the customers for calling services coupled with data services. These plans would serve as a combo of data and calling services for the customers.
He also claimed that in Kolkata Aircel has 47 lakhs customers out of which 70 per cent uses data service.
The company plans to bring similar packs for the postpaid customers in recent future though they have only one per cent postpaid customers.
