Bank of Baroda expands its presence in Kolkata. Where is the new branch located?

Public sector lender Bank of Baroda has inaugurated a new Branch at EM Bypass, Metropolitan, further strengthening its footprint and enhancing access to banking services in Kolkata.

With this addition, the Bank’s Branch network in Kolkata Zone has expanded to 265 Branches.

This new Branch will cater to individuals and businesses across EM Bypass, Metropolitan and adjoining areas, offering a comprehensive range of banking products and services, including personalised financial solutions, digital banking facilities and a dedicated advisory support.

The Branch was inaugurated by Lal Singh, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda, in the presence of K. R. Kagadal, General Manager and Zonal Head, Kolkata Zone; Rajiv Krishna, Deputy General Manager (C&A); Sanjay Chaudhary, Deputy General Manager (BD); Anil Kumar Jha, Regional Manager, Kolkata Metro Region; Prashant Sinha, Regional Manager, Kolkata Metro Region 2; Tapan Sinha, Regional Manager, Greater Kolkata Region and Somnath Agarwal, Regional Manager, Burdwan Region; along with other senior officials and staff members of the Bank.

As part of its ongoing commitment to community development, Bank of Baroda also organised a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at Krishnapur Adarsha Vidyamandir for Girls at Dum Dum Park by donating 50 bicycles and school bags to underprivileged girl students. The initiative aimed at easing their daily commute and encouraging regular school attendance.

Speaking on the occasion, Lal Singh, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda, said, “Today has been particularly meaningful for the Bank as we mark two important milestones in Kolkata.

The inauguration of our new branch at EM Bypass Metropolitan reflects our commitment to expanding our presence and bringing accessible, customer-centric banking services closer to the people.

At the same time, our initiative at Krishnapur Adarsha Vidyamandir, Dum Dum park underscores our commitment to empowering the next generation through education and opportunity.”

The CSR Initiative was attended by Smt. Tuhina Ghose (Ray), Headmistress, Krishnapur Adarsha Vidyamandir for Girls along with Shri K. R. Kagadal, General Manager and Zonal Head, Kolkata Zone and other senior officials and staff members of the Bank.
