BSE gains 291 points

Mumbai, Jan 2 (IBNS) The market opened higher on Friday with the BSE Sensex gaining 291 points.

At around 10.22 am, the BSE Sensex stood at 27798.70, up by 291.16.

The Nifty on the other hand gained 83.70 points to stand at 8367.70.
