Budget Highlights: Introduction of National Dialysis Programme
New Delhi, Feb 29 (IBNS) Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday presenting the Union Budget 2016 introduced the National Dialysis Programme.
Highlights:
Nearly 4950 dialysis session takes place in India every year, far less that what is required.
High cost of medicines and services is largely responsible.
National Dialysis Programme proposes to cut down customs duties on certain equipment parts to reduce the cost of treatment.
To ensure dialysis session can be held at every district in India.
