Delegates from Bengal Chamber to attend centenary celebration of their Chittagong counterpart

Kolkata, Jan 30 (IBNS): A delegation from the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry from India will be attending the centenary celebration of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bangladesh, where Sutanu Ghose, president designate, will represent India at the panel discussion titled “Bay of Bengal Growth Triangle and the Southern Silk Route – Completing Vision 2021”.
Prime minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, will be present at the centenary celebrations and inaugurate the first World Trade Centre (WTC)  of Bangladesh.
 
Subhodip Ghosh, director general designate, and Angana Guha Roy Chowdhury, assistant director are part of the Indian delegation.
 
AHM Mostafa Kamal (Minister for Planning - Government of Bangladesh), Benoit-Pierre Laramee (High Commissioner of Canada), Oleg Tonkonojenkov (Deputy Country Director, Asian Development Bank, Bangladesh),  Hitoshi Ara (Senior Representative, Japan International Cooperation Agency), and Abdul Matlub Ahmed (President, The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry) will also participate in the panel discussion.
 
“It is our pleasure to be a part of the centenary celebration of The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry. India and Bangladesh have an important role to play in advancing the development of South Asia,” said Sutanu Ghosh. “We welcome working with the Chittagong Chamber and look forward to tackling issues of importance.”
